My work has taken a position in-between quantitative and qualitative exploration and analysis. Information and research drive the work, as does materiality and experience.
This investigation takes the form of glass and metal objects that exist throughout the spectrum of functionality. By taking advantage of the chemical and physical properties of materials, I am able to present objects and material in a phenomenological format in dialogue with our material bodies and human experience.
Material studies, technical exploration, and aesthetic curiosity are the primary apparatus of this work. The objects call into question the boundary between aesthetic and practical purpose and seek to inhabit the moment when material exploration becomes function and technology.
